Fly Daze at Elda's on Lark - 2012.12.21

PEEP THIS proudly presented a DJ set from the 518's very own JP MAC. The first time I met JP Mac was when the 518's own DJ Eric Savage (aka. e-roc savy) brought James P MAC to a secret special party in my basement this past March. JP MAC was still using a Traktor setup with a MacBook. I spilled a pint of beer on the MacBook at a party at Hunter Mountain a couple years ago. It was the first time many of the seasonal foreign workers had seen a keg, and they were able to finish 2 in under 45 minutes. JP MAC is as handy with exciting house mashups as he is with the MacBook he was able to repair. The MacBook seemed eternally damned; JP MAC was able to resurrect it to a state of greatness of which power PCs will never know. It's Intel dual processors were flowing with soothing yet exciting electronic dance music. I could not stop dancing the entire time I was at Elda's On Lark this past Friday. JP MAC took the night in several different directions as he smoothly transitioned between various styles of music.

Although an encoder may remove tons of data from the source, it may not actually alter the sonic experience. Some encoders may remove 'too-much' data to the point that it changes the sonic experience. It is important to experiment with different encoders until you find the best choice for your project.

DJ ADD DRIVES HIS CAR EMPTY TO THE GAS PUMP

DJ ADD drives a vehicle which has a computerized gasoline monitoring system.

Upon driving from "a"-to-b, he realized he needed to make a pit-stop at "c" to fuel up, because he was about to run out of gas.

"I usually try to fill up when I get below empty, but I was really busy this week..." -DJ ADD

DJ ADD Made it to the pump just in time! His screen ticked from "1 mile to empty" to "0 miles to empty" just as he pulled up to the pump.

ALL THE RAGE THROW DOWN AT ROTA GALLERY

It was just another Friday night in Plattsburgh NY... EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT HxC BAND: 'ALL THE RAGE' WAS ROCKING THE FUDGE OUT DOWN AT THAT ROTAGILLA STUDIO AND GALLERY 19 CLINTON STREET. Stepping into the art gallery filled with rowdy and substance free patrons, my earplugs experienced good use as All The Rage blasted throbbing sound-waves through the air. The crowd surged with head-banging babes, and body-slamming boys (& gentlemen.) Could the crowd understand the vocalist's aggressive messages? Who cares! All The Rage energized all in attendance.

Local Troublemakers Release New Album!

This was recorded by the Bassist for some cat-obsessed band I can't remember the name of. Guitarist Alex Cribb reports that it was recorded using a "bunch of shit". Be sure to check these hooligans out at The ROTA Studios and Gallery on March  3rd, with some other local musicians!
