It was just another Friday night in Plattsburgh NY... EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT HxC BAND: 'ALL THE RAGE' WAS ROCKING THE FUDGE OUT DOWN AT THAT ROTAGILLA STUDIO AND GALLERY 19 CLINTON STREET. Stepping into the art gallery filled with rowdy and substance free patrons, my earplugs experienced good use as All The Rage blasted throbbing sound-waves through the air. The crowd surged with head-banging babes, and body-slamming boys (& gentlemen.) Could the crowd understand the vocalist's aggressive messages? Who cares! All The Rage energized all in attendance.

ALL THE RAGE THROW DOWN AT ROTA GALLERY

Local Troublemakers Release New Album!
This was recorded by the Bassist for some cat-obsessed band I can't remember the name of. Guitarist Alex Cribb reports that it was recorded using a "bunch of shit". Be sure to check these hooligans out at The ROTA Studios and Gallery on March 3rd, with some other local musicians! Here's the facebook link so you can invite all your friends and their grandmothers: xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Alright so I guess they didn't make a Facebook link yet; that's no reason not to go! If anything, it should be more of an incentive to go. Specialexperience blog will be on-site, don't you want to be just like specialexperienceblog?
***UPDATE***
Alex Cribb apparently plays bass in the band. We here at specialexpericeband have a strict non-retraction policy. So ALEX CRIBB, IT'S TIME TO START PLAYING GUITAR FOR TIRE FIRE, SPECIALEXPERIENCEBLOG MAKES NO MISTAKES.

pyramidpendulum secret dj-set yields world premiere sneak preview of upcoming releases!
11.11.11 - Plattsburgh, NY.
pyramidpendulum played a secret dj set after an exclusive request of only 10 hours prior. This was the second session of the semester.
T Hats Meson was unavailible, so guest DJ "ADD" filled in for the c.e.o of pyramidpendulum.
The set featured over 2 hours of deep meditational dubstep tracks, one of which was the vocal Club Mix of pyramidpendulum's own "girls gone wild live at the rapey nightclub".
After the set ended (1:30 am) the patrons demanded more music.
Contrary to DJ ADD's general hatred for the crowd (and requests), 4 unreleased pyramidpendulum tracks were suddenly showcased, in addition to a live look at a "work in progress" selection.
There were naked boobs and penis at the event, as a result of "strip beer pong".
There are no future pyramidpendulum events scheduled, prior to Earth Dub 2012 (April 20, 2012).

"Return Of The Fly" makes ROTA Debut!
Halloween is upon you. Feel it creeping up your leg, and nibbling your itty-bits. The cold chill of evil penetrates pulses through your bloodstream. There is no escaping the terror of the night.
In other news, Misfits tribute band; "Return Of The Fly" made their debut appearance at The Rota Studios and Gallery at 19 Clinton Street in downtown Plattsburgh.
For their debut appearance at The Rota Studios And Gallery, Return Of The Fly dressed as women. The crowd was immediately aroused, but suddenly confused when they realized that the treat came with a trick.
Aggressive dancing was inevitable.
No persons were hurt, although the band was spit on several times by a rowdy/angry fan.

Neil Jung and Crazy Hoss become possessed by "the Long Cat"
Wednesday October 12........... well technically it was early in the morning of Thursday October 13.
Neil Jung and Crazy Hoss (Plattsburgh NY's premiere cover band) took the stage to: "rip faces and rip ass all night long"(-Neil Jung and Crazy Hoss' facebook page).
The band has become a staple of the Monopole's weekly "Open Mike Night". Mike is the guy with the gear, so he gets to put/squeeze/pound his name into the event title, as well as dictate who get's to play and how long/often.
As the band's theme song played over the house sound system, Sean G. Fell to the stage. Matthew H. proclaimed that his bandmate was in the midst of a heart attack. The audience appeared to find humor in the serious situation.
FOOLED AGAIN!
Before medical assistance could even be considered, the band became possessed by "the Long Cat", as deceased drummer "Joey Thunda" made his way to the drum kit.
*[You can learn more about Joey Thunda's earth day sacrafice at http://www.facebook.com/groups/197843983584691/]
Aggressive dancing accompanied the music. Moshing, stage-diving, pretty much anything was fair game.
There were two cats at the show... who brings their cat to a show, seriously. At one point, a cat crawled on stage and started scratching the band's equipment. Seriously who brings cats to a show?!1121@!3!
The band received a standing ovation upon completion.
You can catch Neil Jung and Crazy Hoss every Wednesday Night at Monopole's "Open Mike". Wednesday is also "Wing Night". You can get some boney wings at a discounted price, although the boneless wings are still regularly priced. Monopole is a 21+ venue.
If you want to get laid, go to a Crazy Hoss show at the Monopole;
It's your best bet on a Wednesday Night.

Plattsburgh rave parties reach an all-time peak
Loud music, club drugs, glowsticks, and extreme dance moves. In 2011, Plattsburgh is seeing an increase in the number of rave parties.
Rave parties require a dj to be truely successfull, and there is no shortage these days. DJ mixing consoles like the Numark Mixtrack (pictured to the left) are appearing left and right.
DJ controllers like the mixtrack provide users with all the features of a $3000 cd setup, but with a price tag of around $100. The popularity of djing can surely be attributed to the availibility of new technology.
Officers of the law (or "pigs") are familiar with the terminology. Upon spotting a glowstick enthusiast on the night of October 8, local police exclaimed; "it looks like we got some rave action tonight..."
In previous years, only one or two houses were hosting rave parties on a somewhat frequent basis. In 2011, there are at least 3 off-campus houses hosting rave parties on a regular basis.
The up-and-coming rave scene in Plattsburgh can also be attributed to the music of "Magic" Dan Sturrock, who drops his 'heady rave bombs' on a weekly basis at Monopole's PB Finnan's venue.
Some of the styles of music featured at these rowdy get-togethers include: Dubstep, House, Trance, and Electro.
Watch out SUNY Plattsburgh; these ravers are here to stay, and hungry for more!
Here's a video taken at 3:00am on October 9 2011, at an intimate & exclusive after-hours rave-style gathering:

pyramidpendulum releases first official single!
On September30, 2011, pyramidpendulum released the first single in it's official catalog of music.
The name of the track is "girls gone wild live at the rapey nightclub".
pyramidpendulum is a collaboration between Thats Meson and Alexander Davis.
In an interview; Thats stated that "the release focuses on the instrumental parts. We got a few different mixes on there, including the dvice vocal dub, and club mix. He's rapping about the difference between partying in an uptight club, and partying in your living-room... Not that we support partying, we just really hate the clubs around here."
Earlier this year, the soft-core porn producers hosted a live event at Therapy Nightclub and Sports Lounge in downtown Plattsburgh. There was a strong negative reaction from the socially conscious college community. SUNY Plattsburgh's student newspaper Cardinal Points even published an article about the student's reactions to the upcoming event. (check the article out right here!)

Doomfu*k thrash eardrums at local art gallery
September 23, 2011.
Local supergroup; Doomfu*k rocked The ROTA Gallery (19 Clinton Street) in Plattsburgh, NY.
Also on the bill:
- super-collective noise-rockers; Tranquilizer Full Of (T.F.O)
- up-and-coming group; Implode The Abyss
- grind-core group on tour from Georgia; Dead In The Dirt.
Doomfu*k's lineup consisted of a standup bass player, a live drummer, a guitarist , a violinist , a vocalist, and a noise-technician/turtablist. The group featured several interesting alternative musical techniques, such as playing guitar with a pencil, and incorporating a shopping cart into their stage setup. The event saw an excellent turnout.
Nino Cuzco (French + Spanish education major at SUNY Plattsburgh) had this to say about the event:
"Matt added a nice punk flavor with his drumming, in contrast to Shannon's elegant violin technique."
